This is an image of the only remaining Distillery on Kythera, which is located in Aloizianika. Every autumn since 1897 the Politis family have produced the well-known Kytherian drink "Tsipoura"(Raki) from grape pulp using traditional methods. From this drink, you can also make the liqueur "Fatourada" by adding cinnamon and cloves and sealing the mixture for a few weeks. Serve with ice for the perfect drink after an evening meal!
