Jack Patty

This article appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald on the 17th of November, 2003. We were not able to contact the authors, who are also the subject's children, for their permission, but hope that they will have no objections to us displaying here their homage to their father.

Mary Plessa. Ph.D student at Athens University, under the guidance of Professor George Leontsinis.

Not born on Kythera, nor a descendant of Kytherians, she did her M.A Thesis on the Lazaretto Building, which is situated on the beachfront on the second (the smaller of the two) bays at Kapsali.

Kosta Kentrotis.

KAPSALI Greek Taverna (Brisbane) general manager and head chef Kosta Kentrotis believes the travel bug is partly responsible for Aussies embracing multicultural foods.

Kosta says with the number of Australians travelling overseas on the rise, more locals are given exposure to international cuisine.

Kosta says Melbourne and Sydney may offer more multicultural options but Brisbane is quickly catching up to those standards.
