Giorgos K Frilligou (Frilingos) family
This photo was sent to my Great-Grandfather Andreas Tambakis (Potomos) in February 1920. He was living in Pittsburgh PA at the time with his son Cosmas. His wife Eleni PANARETO was still living in Potomos.
On the back of the photo has writting on it: To Agapiton (my dear) Kyrios (Mr.) Theo (uncle) Andreas Tambakis (From the family of) Giorgos K Frilligou (Frilingos)

Panagiotis Demetrios Chlentzos with wife Eleni Diacopoulou, and daughter Stamatina (Bylos). Photographed in Kythera c. 1920 Panagiotis travelled to Australia with Stamatina in June 1921. In December 1921 she married Peter Stathis (ex Keramouto).

From the Voice of Kythera, newspaper, 1927. Nick G Marcello was born on the 15th August,1880, in Potamos, Kythera. He emigrated to Australia on the 6th November,1907 on the ‘Bremen.’ Ann Coward has revealed that Stamati Marcello (a brother?) was a partner with Cosmas Cassimatis, (first President), and several others including, Nick Cassimatis, Nick Travasaros, Stratis Tzannes and John Megaloconomos in the Canberra Cafe in Oxford Street, Taylor Square, Sydney.

My grandfather, Anastasios Megaloeconomos, mellowing out at a kafeneion in Potamos during the early 1900s. His three teenaged sons, Theodoros, Ioannis (my father), and Nickolaos, were in Pennsylvania working and sending money home....Recognize anyone?

Anastasios (my paternal grandfather) and his second son Ioannis (my father) of Potamos in 1902 or 1903. Anastasios was married to Chrysanthy Clenzos (sp) and raised five children--Theodoros, Ioannis, Nickolaos, Marouli, and Kosta. Only Ioannis and Kosta married and had children.
