Procession in Mitata

This picture is from the collection of Fofo and Brettos Sklavos of Mitata. It was probably taken in the 1960 and shows a procession of children, officials and a priest walking up the road at the edge of Mitata with the council building at the back.

Icon 1 before restoration

This is one of several icons which was stored in the church of Agia Triatha in Mitata. While I was living there in the late 1980's I was visited by some professional art restorers from Germany, and they cleaned about a dozen icons. Some of the icons in this series are pre-cleaning, others post.
