the view from the aroniathika fire look out [ that was also burnt in the recent fires] the villages of aroniathika , friligianika , and kastrianika that were in danger of fire, as you can see a large area of land that was destoyed by this summers fires . the fire started near the kythera hospital , but once again great work by firemen and locals that helped fight the fires ...

heavy mist sweeps across aroniathika on a dull April day .. photo taken from the aroniathika fire look out , when on a clear day , you can see virtually all of the island with magnificent views of the island ... but not today unfortunately ...

a lovely sight a full moon in august, at the height of the summer, the island lights up from the moon light , the glow on the ocean is magnificent,and in this photo we see the villages of aroniadika, frilingianika and kastrisianika, with agia moni in the background , just at dusk.... how pretty......

one of the villages we all visit often as the airport and sea port of diakofti are on route, the main road of the island passes through the mountain at the back, the area is known as ''sklere'' one of the highest parts of the island.
