Nick G Marcello was born on the 15th August,1880, in Potamos, Kythera. He emigrated to Australia on the 6th November,1907 on the ‘Bremen.’

Ann Coward has revealed that Stamati Marcello (a brother?) was a partner with Cosmas Cassimatis, (first President), and several others including, Nick Cassimatis, Nick Travasaros, Stratis Tzannes and John Megaloconomos in the Canberra Cafe in Oxford Street, Taylor Square, Sydney.

He is one of the Founding fathers of the Kytherian Brotherhood / Association of Australia. He held the position of Treasurer in the Foundation Committee of the Kytherian Brotherhood / Asociation - 1922-1924.
