Looking for any info on my ancestors
I don’t seem to have much info
Grand fathers Name Michael (or Mitchell) Casimaty deceased Brisbane Australia 6/08/1936
Grand Mother Leah Casimaty (nee curran) deceased Brisbane Australia 3/04/1957
I believe he was one of three brothers who came to Australia OTHER BROTHERS BEING: Vasillie Kassimati and Peter Kassimati who both returned to Greece about 1935 ?
My Fathers name Emanuel Michael Casimaty Born Sydney 28/04/1911 dec Brisbane Australia .12/11/1960
I believe my ancestry is from Kythera but have not been able to confirm this
I would like to visit the town where the family originally came from which I think may have been Friligianika ?
I had previously had some contact with my cousin Helena Polymenakou from Athens who I think was a daughter to Vasillie Kassimati
I believe there may have been 4 brothers also Names unknown
Back in 2000 – Helena came out to Australia and we met in Adelaide South Australia.
Unfortunately we have lost contact
We are planning a trip to Greece in August 2012 and have about six days free departing Athens from Saturday 25th to Friday 31st August 2012 which we would like to spend on Peloponnese and Kythera and have many Questions
Any help would be greatly appreciated
