Nature

Kythera has wonderful beaches, wildlife, valleys and mountains - it is one of the most unspoilt of all the Greek islands. The sound of a scops owl hooting across the livathian valley at night, or the babbling of the sweet waters of Mitata or Mylopotamos are almost unchanged over the centuries. One can already upload written accounts of the natural wonders of the island to this section, and soon you will also be able to hear and submit sound files so those who miss the island or have never been there can at least hear the wonderful sounds of the beaches or the markets or the wind in the ancient olive groves.

How to use the Nature section:
The entries in this section are in the list to the left of this text. Just choose one and you will be able to read it (and comment on it if you wish).

Simply click on add to Nature (above right) and you too can contribute to this section of the cultural archive.
