life story:
Aunt Mary was an avid church goer, very involved with the fellowship and always lending a helping hand to someone. I loved her sense of humour, her caring attitude and her no nonsense approach to life. She was also a great lover of family, loved children, loved to cook and garden. I remember well her winning prizes for her cooking at the church and CWA fairs. She was a great gardener and I always assocciate Aunt Mary with pansies. To this day, I still grow pansies in memory of her.
I also have fond memories of thinking I was very clever playing "Lazy Mary Will You Get Up" on her piano when I went there to practice. She kindly laughed each and every time...I was only 6 years old then. I never recall a time when Aunt Mary wasn't caring for someone and will always be grateful for the unstinting love and support she gave my father and all of us when my Mother died.
