This photo was sent to my Great-Grandfather Andreas Tambakis (Potomos)  in February 1920. He was living in Pittsburgh PA at the time with his son Cosmas. His wife Eleni PANARETO was still living in Potomos.

On the back of the photo has writting on it: To Agapiton (my dear) Kyrios (Mr.) Theo (uncle) Andreas Tambakis  (From the family of) Giorgos K Frilligou (Frilingos)

Marouli Kominos (nee Katsoulis) 1895-1956 with children Theodore (1922), Fotenoula (1916), Theodroa (1915) and Anthony 1922)

Mina Antonios Kominos and Marouli Theodoro Katsoulis were married in Kythera, 1 Jan 1931.

Mina died in 1924in Sydney, AU.

 

It was photographed in Esma Studios, Oxford St, Sydney. It is likely the photo was sent to relatives in Kythera.

Panagiotis Demetrios Chlentzos with wife Eleni Diacopoulou, and daughter Stamatina (Bylos).

Panagiotis travelled to Australia with Stamatina in June 1921. In December 1921 she married Peter Stathis (ex Keramouto).

Professor Minas Coroneo was awarded the Gold Cross of St Andrew

by Archbishop Stylianos on his name day, Monday November 26th, 2012. Very few of the St Andrews Crosses have ever been awarded. Only 4 of the Gold St Andrew Cross have been awarded.

Nick G Marcello was born on the 15th August,1880, in Potamos, Kythera. He emigrated to Australia on the 6th November,1907 on the ‘Bremen.’

John Damianos Andronicus

(1894-1973), coffee merchant, was born on 23 October 1894 at Mylopatamo (Potamós), Kythera, Greece, youngest of eleven children of Damianos Nicholas Andronicus, fisherman, and his wife Vassiliki, née Karidis.

Anastasios Theodoros Megaloeconomos and son Ioannis Anastasios Megaloeconomos

Anastasios (my paternal grandfather) and his second son Ioannis (my father) of Potamos in 1902 or 1903. Anastasios was married to Chrysanthy Clenzos (sp) and raised five children--Theodoros, Ioannis, Nickolaos, Marouli, and Kosta. Only Ioannis and Kosta married and had children.
