diving into magic waters ...

one of the best swimming bays on the island .. the small and picturesque village of avlemona is allways a summer favourite for locals and tourists to the island , by the way the dive wasnt so good , but a great attempt at such a tough dive ..

The sign took some time to erect - and nightfall had descended before the task was completed.

The signs aresually attractive.

Monday July 23, 2012.

Supervised by Fivos Tsaravopoulos.

Present to witness the erection of the sign was the Secretary and Assitant Secretary of the Kytherian Association of Australia, George C Poulos, and Kalie Zervos. The Kytherian Association of Australia - along with the Nicholas Anthony Aroney Trust, have contributed considerable funds to realise the walking trails project.

Also present was Mr Vardas, (far left), President of the Kytherian Association ...

Its not as easy as it looks. The ironwood is almost impossible to cut or to screw into.

Even through the murky windows of the Olympic plane flying off the island, the pictureque fishing village of Avlemonas is visible.

Even through the murky windows of the Olympic plane flying off the island, the breath-taking church of St. George - also the site of an ancient Minoan Peak Sanctuary - is visible.
