one of the best little secerets on the island .. the bakery at karavounathes , great for a stop on the way to chora , and sit on the main road and watch the world go by ! with agios georgis [ saint george ] looking on !

wonderful old windmill near the entrance to karvounades where the wheat was milled to make bread for the village and next to it this tree has had many years of strong northely winds !!

local bus service between agia pelagia to kapsali swinging around the karvounathes corner on the way back to agia pelagia.
small villages dot all over the island these two are just north of karvounathes.
