Over 300 people joined in a night of Greek feasting under the stars on Saturday to celebrate the opening by the NSW Governor, Her Excellency, Dr. Marie Bashir, of the Roxy Greek Museum.

Con Fardoulis, and Catherine Kalokerinos at the Roxy Museum Ball

Con was a long time proprietor of a Milk Bar in Inverell, and Catherine is the widow of the late Dr Archie Kalokerinos.

Archie, Catherine and family spent 10 years in the town of Bingara.

The Ball was held on April 5th, 2014.

Soon the main street was littered with broken plates.

Centre: Dancers Joanna Tsakarides and Melina Andrew were convulsed with laughter.

Whilst the dancing went on and on....

Greek dancing was one of the features at the Roxy Museum Ball

Greek dancing was performed by Joanna Tsakarides, Penelope Samios, Melina Andrew, Peter Faros, Stan Sklias, and Bill Tsoukalas, from the Kytherian Association dance troupe. Bingarians and other attendees from the NSW north west were stunned by the dancing display.

Here the three women dancers entertain the crowd with a beautiful 'balletic' display.

Greek dancing was performed by Joanna Tsakarides, Penelope Samios, Melina Andrew, Peter Faros, Stan Sklias, and Bill Tsoukalas, from the Kytherian Association dance troupe. Bingarians and other attendees from the NSW north west were stunned by the dancing display.

During the very convivial atmosphere of the Roxy Museum Ball

held 5th April, 2014, her Excellency, Marie Bashir, AC CVO, made herself very accessible to the public.

She is speaking here with Arthur (Athanasios) Statharkis, godson of one of the founders of the Roxy in 1936, George Psaltis.

To her right are seated, Mayor of Gwydir Shire, John Coulton, her husband, Sir Nicholas Shehadie, and member for the Northern Tablelands in the NSW Parliament, Adam Marshall.

on the street, under the stars, at the Roxy Greek Museum opening Ball, 5th April, 2014. It was superb. The street was closed off, and more than 320 people sat down to dine, wine, and dance.
