Another old saying is/was "..(we) have enough food to feed 11 (people)". "Ehoume arketa na taisoume ta endeka!" Used in the context "Will you have anough food to feed everybody when they arrive?" "(Yes). We have enough to feed 11 (people)." I am usure of the significance of the number 11. Perhaps another kythera-family web user can enlighten us as to why "11"? It might derive from the fact that given the small size of Kytherian houses - 11 people would have constituted a very large number to entertain at one sitting? "Ehoume arketa na taisoume ta endeka!"
