The mother of Menas, Stamatia, Diamonte and Horolobou Megaloconomos who all came to Australia. One son remained in Greece and travelled to the US for a while, but returned. The little girl may be a grandchild. The photo is a postcard addressed to her grandson Tony Megaloconomos in Australia. He was a young child at the time.
The photo was taken at the wedding of Mick Megaloconomos and Mary Lekatsas in 1921. The photo includes Emanuel and Diamonte (Diamond) Skekos (nee Megaloconomos) and Harry (Horolobou) Megaloconomos. Diamond is wearing the dark hat. The young boys are Peter and Tony Skekos. one on either end of the front row. Mick's brother Harry (Horolobou) Megaloconomos is standing to the far edge on the groom's side behind one of his nephews. The bride came from Ithaki and the couple met in Sydney. ...

Born in dourianika in 1890. moved to Lockhart NSW 2656,Australia in 1904 with his father John Veneris. Worked at the paragon cafe in Lockhart for katsoolis brothers until he opened the Blue Bird Cafe in 1917 across the road in Lockhart. Peter Died of alergies in 1935.He rest in the Lockhart monumental cemetry.
