when I was a teenager or younger and I wanted to stay out late at night, my Father use to tell me this little saying about the consequenses of roaming around late at night. A certain calamty that would happen to someone living in Kythera years ago before there was pavement and street lights.
Anyway it went like this:
"Opios styn nihta siryianai, Laspes ke skata patai"
In other words ,anyone roaming the roads at night ,in the dark, surely would step in mud and shit.
Meaning that roaming around at night I would surely get into things I didn't want to get into.
