To act

To act "cocky" like a rooster - is expressed in Greek as

"na mus kunis to kokira."

- which means literally to strut around like a prize rooster in a hen house.

It was usually used in this context -

"mi mus kanis to kokira" - which meant - you are currently acting arrogantly/as if you are "full of youself. Stop doing that. It is a very dangerous self-delussion. Even the prize rooster can end up on the dinner table."

"Mi mus kanis to kokira."
