Page 91 of Church of St George, Potamos, parish register 1826-1865. Most Kytherians have probably never seached the records of the Parish Registers from Kythera. I have added a copy here to introduce the "style" of entry in the parish registers. All are readily available in Australia and the USA. The method for obtaining copies of these records has been clearly enunciated in other entries in this section of kythera-island.net I recall when my cousin Lilly Vanges was alive and conducting extensive searches for her family history at the "Mormon" Centre at Carlingford in Sydney. Lilly mentioned that it was very difficult for her to read the Greek writing - and that much of it was in a style that Kytherian Greeks were unused to speaking or reading. I strongly recommend that you take a very good Greek "reader" with you, when conducting research. This scanned copy was provided to me by the "Encyclopaedia Hellenica of Kytherian Knowledge", Mr Peter Tsicalas.
