The Kytherian Association of Australia staged a family dance on Saturday, November 20th at the Westside Reception Lounge in Marrickville (Sydney). Children who learn Greek dancing on Friday nights put on an enjoyable performance and had great fun. Everyone had a good time, and with over 300 attendees the night was a big hit. Some photos are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/55426206@N04/5192489406/in/set-72157625431464124/lightbox/ I'll progressively add more. A short video clip is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lKOR8XkTSQ These children are our future and it's important to help create an affinity with Hellenic culture and their Greek heritage. Friday night Greek dancing classes give these children an opportunity to learn and have fun, and also provides a way to meet other children with the same background. Huge thanks are in order for Kathy Samios who put a massive effort into making the night the success that it was.
