Diggers and Greeks Presenter: Maria Hill As the 70th Anniversary of the Greek campaign in the Second World War approaches join historian and author Maria Hill as she discusses the campaign from the often ignored Greek perspective. How did the Greeks and Cretans react to having the Allied forces on their soil? The personal relations that developed between Australian soldiers and Greek civilians and soldiers were sometimes hostile but in other cases friendships developed that lasted decades after the war had finished.
