The Hellenic Plan at OCC An event dedicated to the work and unique life of Lafcadio Hearn, the 19th-century writer who, born on Lefkada to a Greek mother and an Irish father, would eventually settle down in Japan, earning a place in the pantheon of Japanese national authors after a peripatetic life in Ireland and the United States. The evening will feature the world premiere of an animated 3D film based on one of Hearn’s short stories, and explore what it was that gave his work, written in English, its Japanese ‘national identity’. THE HELLENIC PLAN

Artistic Co-ordination: Dimitris Papadimitriou, Panagiotis Rappas, Rallou Vogiatzi
