The Gengos (Tzentzos) family who established themselves 1914-1922 in Inverell and later moved to Moree suffered the greatest loss with two family members Flying Officer William Gengos and Private Steleanos (Stan) Gengos, themselves cousins, killed within a few weeks of each other at Tobruk and El Alemain, North Africa in 1942.
