We look forward to coming back soon" "Absolutely loved our stay. Such an amazing location. A wonderful place. We can't wait to stay here again. It was wonderful to be able to stroll down to the river, main street & golf course. The River House is truly stunning & it was great to be able to pick plants out of the garden for meals. A unique experience". "The property has great surrounds and views overlooking the river that flows past. One of the striking things is the size of the rooms and the decor. Well equipped kitchen. We found it comfortable and warm even thought it was winter. This is not what you usually expect from holiday rentals, this is just like a great home". Garry & Linda's welcome: Welcome to The River House, Bingara's newest and finest accommodation. Overlooking the riverside park, “The Junction” and the magnificent Gwydir River, the view is second to none. The River House opened its doors just before Christmas 2011 and offers first class accommodation – three fully self contained one bedroom units with wonderfully spacious living & dining areas, and a fourth bedroom with en-suite. It is available for rental for any period, and in any combination of the four lettable areas. Built by local cattle producers Garry & Linda McDouall, The River House will one day be their retirement home. The design and finish is therefore of the highest quality with each suite beautifully appointed with hand picked furnishings and decor. Everything has been done to the highest standard. The garden too is spectacular - at least it will be once it is fully established. It is designed as a "Food Forest", with every plant being edible. The garden surrounds a beautiful pergola and pond, with the sounds of running water- a great place to dine outdoors. Both Garry and Linda are passionate about Bingara, so until they are ready for the "big move" they wish to offer the living experience to visitors, as the property represents their commitment to the future of Bingara. This is their Vision: "The River House is a place of relaxation, beauty & renewal. Sublime accommodation in a fantastic position, surrounded by a “Food Forest” Garden. We wish to share our dreams for Bingara with our visitors – become part of a thriving, engaged and excited community, enjoying excellent facilities in a beautiful rural setting."
