Greek cafe owner preparing wood for use in the kitchen. Photograph taken in Bega, NSW, circa 1950s. The cafe owner has not been identified. Can anyone help to identify him? The partnership of Cassimatis & Filos/Finos had a cafe at Bega in the 1950s if that’s a clue on the identity of the bloke? The ‘Picture Australia’ site at http://www.pictureaustralia.org/apps/pictureaustralia has a photo of the place when it was in the hands of Stan Sansey (Tsaousis?). Arthur John Calligeros and/or A. Castrisios also appear to have had it at some stage.
