Iris Andronicos celebrated her 100th birthday yesterday at her home in the Brisbane suburb of Taringa, in the company of family and friends. Iris is the widow of George T. Andronicos, son of Theo G. Andronicos (Potamos) who arrived in Sydney in 1897. Seated to her right is her sister-in-law, Rene Cook (nee Andronicos) aged 92, younger sister of George.

Forever friends - my mother, Anna Zantiotis (Kyrani Anastasopoulos) and Mary Sofios (Patrikios) at a christening in February 2008. These two lovely ladies went to school together in Kythera and have remained staunch friends ever since.
My parents, Stephen and Anna Zantiotis (Kyrani Anastasopoulos) with Nick and Mary Sofios (Maria Patrikios) in Wollongong (3/1/2009). Anna and Mary went to school together in Kythera. An amazing friendship!
