a little village church of days gone by, probably a family owned church from the past, but now in ruin.
this church is in the village of keramouto, in the south of the island and as of all the churches in kythera has a different design

even the bishop of kythera has need to visit potamo on sundays, seen here greeted by one of the '' potamitidis' after a church service at potamo and some of the people are more interested playing with their mobile!! !

north of the island surrounded by beautiful forrests, is the village of Gerakari, here one of its churches ,graces this lovely hidden village.
nearly hidden in the wild vegetation ayios andreas in pitsinathes can be seen from the main road near the aroniadika, old church that you can still get inside to view the frescos on the walls.
old church in pitsinades, not in use, however the frescos of the saints are still visable on the walls.

this church with a look out is at kato livadi,in a quite area with views of kombonada, kaladi, paliopoli and avlemonas, would be perfect if you were to go late afternoon.the chuch celebrates on the 29th august.
