A similar photo appears on page 57 of Janis Wilton's "Immigrants in the Bush." [See Culture, subsection, Bibliography for more details about this book.] On that page the children in the background are identified as the children of Nick Mentis, later of Tenterfield, (Paragon Cafe). They are Con, Georgina and Peter. The younger child that Yiorgia is holding is a nephew of Con's - Dino. The photograph is taken outside the family home in Karavas, Kythera.
The year is 1953.
