Kavakos Raissi Galakatos Milkton

Mary was godmother of Kosmas Raissis, son of Katherine.
Katherine was my great aunt Ekaterini Galakatou; she married Spiro Raissis.
Alex was my great uncle Alexandros Galakatos. He and Ekaterini were born in Smyrna; 2 of 4 children of Kosmas P Galakatos & Panagiota Gavrili Galakatou.
Loula was Alex & Ekaterini's cousin. Born Pothity Galakatou in Christoforianika, she was daughter of Panagiotis Galakatos ...

Andrei de Roma, a descendant, living in Beauvais, near Paris, France, wishes to point out that the "armories", (Coats of Arms - [top left hand-corner]) denote both Balsamo and Roma.

because, she was the last of the name (lineage)."

Fofo and her four eldest children

Fofo, my wife Sadie's mother,was born in Athens 1920 and as a baby moved to Symi. Her maiden name was Papanikolaou, related to Dr.Papanikolaou of the Pap smear fame. She married Mihalis Karpathakis, in Sydney in 1926, who has so many Kytherian friends,as he assisted so many islanders to remain in Australia with the help of a number of his friends in the Immigration department

Eugene Fatseas

This is a photo of Eugene Fatseas (my Papou) taken circa 1910. Eugene was born on Kythera and emigrated to the US in 1906 and sent for his wife Maria and two sons, Dimitrios (James), born 1905 and Nicolaos, born 1904. They arrived at Ellis Island July 9, 1914. He had two daugthers, Helen, born 1915, and Anastasia (Daisy), born 1916. He owned a few restaurants possibly in the Detroit, Youngstown and Pittsburgh areas before the family moved to New York City.

Hristos Kalokairinos and Yiannis Kallinikos 1948

Yiannis Kallinikos was born in Fratsia. Finished High School in Kythera with my late brother Hristos,then came to Australia for a number of years. He returned back to Kythera where he passed away in Kythera "Gerokomeio". Hristos also passed away.

Krithary & Galakatos Brisbane Qld 1953

After migrating to Australia, Kosmos Galakatos (now Galos) boarded with the Krithary family in West End, Brisbane. He was later joined by younger brother Konstantine (now Con Galtos)& then older sister Panagiota Natasha (now Sarris).
In this picture in front of the Krithary family home, Panagiota is 2nd from left; Con is 2nd from right. 3rd from left is George Triplis (from Kalamata) who migrated to Australia with Kosmos.
