Bishop Gavriil(Emmanuel)Kalokairinos was Bishop of Santorini for 23 years.Was born in Alexandrades son to Andreas and Diamanda, brother to Mina and Theodore.All deceased.

The Australian Ambassador in Greece visited Kythera on the 27th of July 1989. Mr.Kevin Ian Gates and his wife, were welcomed by the then Eparhos at the airport then the Kytherian Australians on the Island held a dinner with the Ambassador and his wife at Toxotis in Livadi. In the photo above Mr.Kevin Ian Gates with Spyro and Sadie Calocerinos while visiting the Kastro in Hora.

Issued in Kythera on the 18th of October 1945. She was killed in a horrific car accident in Hora in 1962. Maria Kalokairinou,was born in Kythera.Her parents Christos and Kaliopi Nikolopoulou, were from Gytheon.

My father Valerios was born in Alexandrades 1893, died 1969. He was a shopkeeper in Hora. The shop is still owned by a Valerios Calocerinos(Kalolairinos)-my nephew- well known for his photography Above photo taken 1922
