Sofoula Kominou on the 17/04/1966 watering her garden infront of her house.
The photograph of brother and sister Dimitris Kastrisios and Maria Protopsalti is in classical post card form, however it seems the brother has been photographed at a later date than his sister and afterwards been collated onto the image, which has perhaps then been re-photographed.

My mother with her sister Titika Zervoulakou. My aunt Titika was married to Leonidas and had three daughters. During the war they were hiding in their house British spies and had many close encounters with the Germans. Eventually he was murdered by Greek political parties. My mother had a shocking accident in Kythera in 1962 and was killed by a truck while walking my blind father towards Kapsali.

Matzoros is the grooms nickname, he is famous on the island for walking long distances in bare feet so as to save his shoes from the wear! on the back of the photograph, obviously a gift from one friend to another, the reciever is advised to get a good laugh from the whole scene at Matzoro's expense.
From left to right: Maria Veneri, her sister Eirini and their friend Eirini Kastrisiou, wearing national dress and school uniform for a national celebration parade.
